After putting your Christmas tree and decorations away this year, instead of automatically putting your furniture in the same spot, try to rearrange and shake up your furniture layout.
Start with your largest piece, usually the sofa, in a new position in the room. You can trying placing on an angle or in front of a window wall. Then place your chairs on the sides of sofa to make a ‘U’ shape for a good conversation area. Pull in tables and lamps in the arrangement. If possible, use an area rug to anchor the seating area and to pull in all together. A new room for a new year!
