I am a bit confused on this new color story. As you have heard this past week, Pantone announced the color of 2013 as Emerald Green:

Here is my problem- doesn’t that sample above look teal to you? When I picture the color emerald green in my mind, this is the color I see:

My emerald green does not have that much blue in it. A cleaner and brighter yellow green is how I would describe emerald green.

To confuse me even more, here is a Pantone product coffee mug advertised:

To me, that color looks turquoise. Not anywhere near emerald green. When I envision emerald green, I think of a jewel-toned color like this headboard:

They look turquoise/teal to me. What do you think??

I do not think so. Maybe a couple of the plates on the back wall. Can someone explain this?  My emerald green:
