On the Benjamin Moore Color Expert Exchange on Facebook, Linday H. wrote in a great question to Ben Moore: What are your top 20 selling Paint Colors for 2010 thus far?
WilliamDiamondandAnthonyBaratta I thought blues, greens, purples….
Benjamin Moore responded:
Lindsay- From purely a volume standpoint, they are mostly whites and neutrals. Are you looking for color trend information?
White Dove Linen White Navajo White Decorators White Shaker Beige Atrium White Bone White
Manchester Tan Super White Simply White Monroe Bisque Cloud White Antique White Lenox Tan
Bleeker Beige Putnam Ivory China White Chantilly Lace Powell Buff Black
They sure are white and neutral! I do use some of these colors, see previous post here, but I am wondering who is painting all of this white around? I understand a couple of the beige colors such as Shaker Beige, Manchester Tan, Bleeker Beige, Lenox Tan and Black?! are not as white as the others, but they are still so…so….beige!
I guess they do work for the ‘designer look’ images . And I do love white kitchens, but not so much all white in living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms. I would not want to use most of these whites in an entry either, just to boring and blah. No personality! Now look at a few of these rooms with color:

Jeffrey Bilhuber
Robin Bell
Are you with me that color on the wall is a happier, complete look? So, where do you think all that white paint is going? I do like the all white look in some instances (when it is all about the art), but I think a wall color coordinates and pulls everything in the room together.
Benjamin Moore came back and asked Heather: ” Are you looking for color trend information?” I think I will write back to them and say, “Yes, I would like to see the best selling paint colors in real colors.” Then I will share here with you. Comments?
