Isn’t this room above absolutely beautiful? Look at how well the sofa and rug work together. I researched that gorgeous Chesterfield sofa- sold out. I just love this room! I have gotten such a big response from my post Best Wall Colors For Stained Trim, with the above photo, that I thought I would find a few more rooms to share with you. This time I uploaded the photos to Sherwin Williams ChipIt! to see what wall colors would come up:
I think that the colors that are shown in the photos are a realistic representation of the “true” colors. When looking at colors online through your computer screen, remember that although it is a good guide in color selection, the colors are not 100% accurately depicted.

Pretty cool! I think I like this new Chip It! tool. Maybe not a perfect match, but a good head start in the right direction:

I am still not a fan of dark stained trim with white walls:

Just my opinion.
Here are a few Chip It! results from rooms shown in my previous post:
I hope this helps you select colors for your home. What do you think of Sherwin Williams Chip It!? You can read more about the product here where I explained more about the new product. Any thoughts? Don’t you LOVE that first picture?

Could you please tell me what the green color is in the first picture…wall color? I LOVE it!
I do love that first room, and the second one caught my eye, too! Not a fan of the dark trim either… Maybe in a Craftsman, maybe, but not really my cup of tea! I’ve been avoiding Chipit – I know what’ll happen once I get started – you’ll never be able to pull me away. But this post is totally tugging at my creative curiousity! Great post, Kelly!
LOVE that room too Connie! Cozy is a great word for it!
I think you will have fun with it Kristie!
I don’t care for white walls with dark wood trim either. Still haven’t tried Chip-It, maybe this weekend!
P.S. I think my favorite color scheme is the HGTV dining room you’ve shown here. Even though I’m usually drawn to light rooms,I could talk the night away during and after dinner in this soft, warm room….especially in winter months
So cozy!
