Don’t you just love it when you receive a happy email? This is the email I received yesterday that made my day (my week!):
I just wanted send you a quick note to let you know that I’ve really been enjoying your blogs and that you inspired me to do a quick little “color” project. My front door has been white for 10 years (I can’t believe it’s been that long) and I decided to paint it yellow! I wanted a natural shade so I used a yellow autumn leave from my yard to help choose a color. It’s Behr’s “Spiced Butternut”. Here are the before and after pictures:
Before:

And after:
Stunning! What a transformation. The house was very pretty before but look at the after photo! I give her a lot of credit for taking a chance and painting the front door such a bold color. That takes courage! And look at the end result of taking a chance:

A front door with personality! An ordinary home transformed to the prettiest home on the block! Fabulous!!
What do you think readers? Do you think her daringness paid off? Thank you so much for sharing Missy!

I agree Bea- the yellow is a great color. Yellow is the hardest color to find the perfect one. Missy did a really great job!
I agree with Jane. The front door does make an amazing difference but I think the shutters would look beautiful in black, too. And would really compliment the yellow front door.
Having said that, the yellow is a gorgeous colour and makes the whole house pop.
Great ideas Jane!
Looking at the photos again, painting the shutters black would be stunning. The garage door in black as well, love it!

Amazing, she did a fantastic job! Kudos to you, Kelly, and to the home owner with a great look! That makes my day too.
No problem with Christmas decor, red & yellow are complements and a look of GREENery & white/off white would be so elegant.
Thanks!

I love it! So cheery and warm!

Will do Alexis!
Please show on your site the photo of another happy revere pewter customer.
Thank you.
P.S. Your yellow front door looks beautiful.

Her daringness totally paid off! And I love the after shot with the warm glow of the lights shining through the windows, too! Congratulations, Kelly, for making a difference!
Perfect choice! That color gives the house a whole new personality.
I love it! I think I would have done the sidelights a shade of maybe beige or some other color just to highlight them a little also? I don’t know, but this looks really pretty!
Very pretty! I might have thought about painting the sidelights the same color too. Maybe too much of a good thing? Don’t know.
It’s lovely with the fall colored mums that work nicely with the door and shutter colors. For spring/summer it’ll look stunning as well with flowers for those seasons in those colors.
Wonder how it’ll look with Christmas decor?
love the new door color! now the house looks happy
