Last February, I wrote about using an apple green color to instantly update a room here:

Lately I have noticed kelly green showing up more and more. I have always thought that kelly green was such a strong and serious color, compared to the apple green color that is more youthful and fun. I do not think I would use kelly green as a wall color because I would be afraid of it looking like a putting green! But after I saw a few beautiful photos of the color being used, I am really warming up to this shade of green for furnishings and accessories:

What I do love about kelly green, is that like apple green, it works so well with whites, black, blues, browns and even coral colors.

What do you think of using kelly green? Would you try using it as a wall color?

Do you think kelly green is replacing the popular apple green color? I would love to hear your thoughts!

I love green period! Not many greens I do not like. Thanks Soma!
I LOVE kelly green, I think it is so fresh and lively!
It’s Apple Green for me!
Interested to see the Kelly Green though. I like it too–as I like all greens– but prefer Apple.
Love the hallway!!
I love both greens, but the apple green still seems a little fresher to me. The hallway is amazing!!
I’ve noticed it too and I love green so I’m thrilled.. Apple green for me:)
The green is nice, but what is the wall color in that first picture??? :0)
I agree Beth- apple green seems more youthful and fun!
Oh my goodness… choices, choices, choices! I love green. Name the green and I am bound to love it. In these pictures (while I do adore the kelly green), I am inevitably drawn to the apple green; it seems to take itself a little less seriously
I thought it looked familiar Theresa!
I still love the apple green Sheila and still using in my design work.
I like Kelly green a lot, but I’m still drawn to Apple green. I do think Kelly green is becoming the front runner, but I think both colours bring their own strengths to the table. It’s all in the details!
I hate to say it. Been there done that. Back in the late 70′s/early 80′s we were using Kelly Green. I love the Apple Green better!
I agree! Kelly Green is the new Apple Green – so fresh and fun
