Benjamin Moore’s New Color Gallery

Monday, March 28th, 2011

Wouldn’t you love to find a place online where you can not only look through 3,044 paint colors (very quickly!) for inspiration and ideas, view best selling paint colors and also find great color combinations to go with your choices? Well now you can!

    Benjamin Moore Color Gallery

You really have to see for yourself  how amazing and fast this website is! While searching, if you look under the ‘options’, there is a menu bar that lets you select a color family, color collecton and even current trends.

                                                       Storm AF-700

So say that you were looking at my blog and saw this picture above from House Beautiful and fell in love with it. The color was listed and you wanted to see more details about the color. Go to Color Gallery and in the search box type the word ‘thunder’. Click on the correct color and a page will come up with more information about the paint color you would ever need.

My favorite element is where Ben Moore will show you color combinations that work well with this color.  For instance, for the color “Storm”, two great color combos that are shown are:

OR:

Love the green with Storm.  Here is another example:

                                               Old Navy 2063-10

Great Color Combinations:

          Chalk White / BM 2126-70

                                                                     Chalk White / BM 2126-70

OR:

            Chalk White / BM 2126-70

                                                            Chalk White / BM 2126-70

Pretty cool huh? You also have the options of  saving color to a favorite file folder, to share the color with others, email the color, or even print it.   Visuals are great.  But, you still must sample the colors at home. Different lighting, color looks different on the computer blah, blah, blah…

Try it out below and then get back to me what you think.  Have fun!

Rooms Painted in Ben Moore Paint Colors

Friday, March 18th, 2011

Don’t you love looking at room pictures when they actually list the paint color?  I do. Although you are still looking through the computer screen, you get a much better idea of a color rather than just looking at a small paint sample.  Here are just a few of my Benjamin Moore favorites:

Kendall Charcoal HC-166

 Chalk White 2126-70 9 (a light gray)

Love this blue:

 Van Deusen Blue  HC-156

Love, love this navy:

 Old Navy 2063-10

I hope these photos have helped you visualize what the paint colors will actually look like in your room and help narrow down your choices to a favorite color, or feel, to your room.  This post and photos has actually helped me figure out a whole color scheme for a guest room I just started working on again.  I am so excited! I love when it just clicks!  I will write you all about the room redesign.  Another day, another story.  Stay tuned.

Comments please!  Did you find a new color you love?

P.S.  I do not work for BM.   I just have worked with Ben Moore colors for so many years now that I feel comfortable suggesting them to you because I know they have really great colors and a great consistent formula for the walls.
