After I sent out my newsletter about pillows this month, I had many more thoughts and pictures I wanted to share with you. Imagine the room below without these beautiful pillows!  They really make the room look finished.

Think of pillows as the jewelry of the room. The sparkle, the wow, the finishing touch. In accordance to the 60-30-10 rule (another post coming soon), the pillows (accessories) should be 10% of the color in a room.

One of my favorite places to find great pillows is Crate and Barrel.  I love the fun fabrics they use such as the ones below:

Another suggestion for finding pillows is looking in the bed linens section.  There are usually many different selections of pillows. Or, if you love a fabric you see, you can buy a single sheet and make your own pillows.

You can find great pillows at Home Goods;   Pier 1;  and  Pottery Barn to name a few.   

Bold and beautiful, pillows add a garden of delight to a sofa, chair or chaise.  It’s the easiest way to brighten up a room and tie all of your colors together.
