A Welcoming Painted Entryway

Below is a photo of an entryway before paint did its magic:

The homeowner wanted a soft, warm yellow in her entry so I had suggested to her to sample Ben Moore Vellum 207.  She loved it and this was how the entry looked after:

And after:

Doesn’t this color seem so much more attractive and inviting than the previous blue?  Vellum is one of my top yellows which you can read more about here.

Below is the next room we are going to choose colors for:

The new owner’s want to change the previous owner’s paint colors right away!  But they have such a large open home, they did not know where to start!  She found me on the Ben Moore Expert page and she is glad she found me. ( She told me so!!)  :)

I suggested making this room off of the entry into a small library with a large round table we can decorate in the center of room as the focal point.  You can see the dining room off of this room and the owner’s really do not want to paint that room at this time.  The dining room is painted a light blue.

So I am thinking maybe… a dark blue such as Newburyport Blue HC-155.  That color will also look really nice with the Vellum in the entry.

I do want her to pick out a large area rug she loves for the room first so that we can pull colors from that.  I will keep you updated!
